Filet Crocheted Runner (Crochet...Gotta Love It!)

This is a test page...I was playing around with a pattern I found on a site in Kiev Russia, but the pattern was typed out in x's periods and forward slashes. So, I was able to figure out where the spaces and blocks were supposed to go, but if you look at it on the kiev site (see below link), it looks as if there is some pretty fancy stitching in it. I just graphed it out as "basic filet". Here's the site I found this pattern at, but sadly, the site is no longer on the 'Net as of November 1998: http://sprat.gu.kiev.ua/H/CR/CROCHET.8

Thus, this is what the graph translates to: Spaces = ch 2, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next st
Blocks = 3 dc in each of next 3 sts dc. Good luck! :)

You are at https://members.tripod.com/~lhamm/kievrun1.htm

Materials: Bedspread Weight cotton thread (size 10) or smaller if you prefer Steel Crochet Hook
Size 7 (or the size you prefer when using size 10 thread. If using size 20 or 30 thread, be sure to
adjust your hook size accordingly)
Note: this runner is displayed on the chart in 2 sections; start with the section on the bottom, right side of the graph (this is the middle of the runner. After you reach the top of the runner (where you have 1 block), fasten off and attach in other side of starting chain. Following left side of chart, work to correspond first half of filet. :)

Chain 31. Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (31 dc). Ch 3, turn. Continue working according to chart towards top. Click here to see instructions for decreasing your filet
