Materials:
6 balls of size 10 crochet cotton thread (any colors you like or 6 of the same color)
Crochet hook size I / 9 / 5 MM

Abbreviations: (American Stitches used)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)

Notes:When making a Crossover Dc stitch, be sure to work this dc a little looser or with more slack, so that the stitch won't pucker or be too tight.

Another note: If you want to use a larger hook, feel free to do so. Or if you find that 6 strands is a little too bulky for a dishcloth, use 4 or 5 strands instead.

Ch 34.
Row 1: 1 Dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped chs count as 1 dc), 1 dc in each ch across; ch 1, turn. (32 dc).
Row 2: 1 Sc in same st as turning, 1 sc in each dc across; ch 3, turn (ch 3 counts as dc on next row now and throughout) (32 sc).
Row 3: 1 Dc in each sc across; ch 1, turn (32 dc).
Row 4: Repeat Row 2 (32 sc).
Row 5: Repeat Row 3; ch 4, turn (32 dc).
Row 6: Skip next dc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, work 1 dc across 3 dc just made into skipped dc=1 Crossover Dc made. (1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, 1 Crossover Dc in same st as last dc of last 3-dc group made) across, 1 dc in top of turning ch-3 of previous row; ch 3, turn (10 Crossover Dc groups made).
Row 7: (1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, skip next dc) across working last dc in top of 3rd ch of turning ch-3 on previous row; ch 1, turn (32 dc).
Row 8: Repeat Row 2; ch 3, turn (32 sc).
Row 9: Repeat Row 3; ch 1, turn (32 dc).
Row 10: Repeat Row 2; ch 4, turn (32 sc).
Row 11: Repeat Row 6; ch 3, turn (10 Crossover Dc groups made).
Row 12: Repeat Row 7; ch 1, turn (32 dc).
Row 13: Repeat Row 2; ch 3, turn (32 sc).
Row 14: Repeat Row 3; ch 1, turn (32 dc).
Row 15: Repeat Row 2; ch 3, turn (32 sc).
Row 16: Repeat Row 3.

EDGING
Working around entire perimeter, work a pattern of (sc, ch 3) in next row on sides and in every other dc or foundation ch on top and bottom of dishcloth, also working a (sc, ch 3, sc) in each corner.

Fasten off and sew in ends well. Use on your dishes and enjoy or give as a gift.
